摘要
Tesla spent $4.7 billion in the quarter against about $7.95 billion analysts expected, turned free cash flow positive at $1.5 billion, and cut its full-year capital spending guidance to more than $20 billion from more than $25 billion.
Meta went the other way, raising the floor of its capex range to $135 to $145 billion, and a 10-Q filed the same morning listed $454.5 billion of contractual commitments it cannot cancel, against $81.2 billion a year earlier. Julie Hyman, Jake Conley and Pras Subramanian on why spending less and spending more both got the same reception, and whether a capex cut is discipline or a retreat from the AI race.
